What is CPGuard and how does it protect my website?
CPGuard is an active server security system that combines a firewall, intrusion detection, antivirus and real-time bot protection. It analyses incoming traffic, automatically blocks malicious IPs and scans your website files for malware. If it detects an infected file, it places it in quarantine before it can affect your visitors or the rest of your account.
What is CageFS and why does it matter if I share a server with other customers?
In standard shared hosting, a poorly configured script from another customer can access files from neighbouring accounts. CageFS solves this by creating a private virtual environment for each account: you can only see your own files, as if you were on a dedicated server. If another customer has a security problem, your website remains completely isolated and unaffected.
Does the included SSL protect my visitors' data?
Yes. The SSL certificate encrypts all communication between your visitors' browsers and your server. Passwords, forms, contact details and payment data travel encrypted with 256 bits — the same standard used by banks. Nobody can intercept that data in transit. And it's included in all plans at no extra cost.
How often are backups taken? Can I restore myself?
Backups are taken automatically every week. You can request a restore from your control panel or by contacting technical support. The process is fast and there is no additional cost for standard restores. If something goes wrong, you don't need to hunt for the backup file: it's in our systems and we recover it with you.
What is CloudLinux and how is it different from a standard Linux server?
CloudLinux is a Linux distribution designed specifically for shared hosting environments. Its key advantage: each account has its own guaranteed CPU and RAM limits. If one customer uses a lot of resources — due to a traffic spike or a heavy script — your website performance is not affected.
Is my website protected against DDoS attacks?
Our servers have perimeter protection against denial-of-service attacks. Malicious traffic is filtered before it reaches your website. For projects with specific high-scale anti-DDoS requirements, contact our technical team to analyse your case with no commitment.
What happens if my website is hacked? What support do you offer?
If you detect that your website has been compromised, contact our technical team directly. We help you identify the entry point, clean infected files and restore from backup if necessary. We don't leave you alone when a security incident happens: it's part of the service, not an extra charge.
Do I need to configure any security settings after signing up?
