Among the tasks that web hosting administrators can perform from cPanel, the following stand out:
- Managing the account’s files.
- Editing the domain’s DNS records.
- Installing web applications.
- Managing both domains and subdomains.

So what is the difference between WHM and cPanel?
WHM is aimed at resellers, or hosting owners who need several webmasters to have access to different domains. This way, they can give a cPanel account to each of the webmasters.
cPanel, on the other hand, is intended to serve one or several websites, where there is a single webmaster who manages them all.
